Zero Image Pinhole Camera

Zero Image Pinhole Camera is a handmade wooden camera with a precision pinhole for sharp and accurate exposures.

These Back To Nature Cameras uses a 0.001″ brass shim to make the pinhole. You get a more accurate film stop number and sharper images.

The Back to Nature series is the same design as the Zero Image traditional lacquer pinhole cameras. The cameras are made of solid brass and high-quality teak wood. With a hard wax-oil finish which is far more eco-friendly.

Every Zero Image camera has a serial number etched on a beautiful brass plate. This is placed inside and a signed certificate of authenticity. You will also find step-by-step instructions, complete with illustrations, on how to use the camera.

Hand-Made Wooden Camera

Since 1999 Zero Image has made hand-made wooden pinhole cameras in Hong Kong. The company founder Zernike Au is a pinhole enthusiast.  Before he made his first camera, Au was a successful product designer.

At first, he made compact wooden cameras which could accept roll film (at that time 4×5 was the only format available on the market). He also wanted his camera to have all the necessary functions and be easy to use… To do this, he began from Zero.

Thus Zero Image produce cameras to embody the original technology of photography. Their aim is to preserve this heritage and share this ancient method of self-expression with more people. Pinhole photography is very simple and easy with Zero Image cameras. You don’t need to invest large amounts of money for photographic equipment. You won’t have to carry heavy equipment when you go into the field. Ultimately, the use of these cameras ensures that your creativity will remain unlimited.
