WILL GRUNDY and BEATRIZ MAUÉS Thrift

WILL GRUNDY and BEATRIZ MAUÉS Thrift present a selection of images celebrating resourcefulness over wastefulness. Born out of Maués’ interest in vintage and pre-owned clothing, the project arose organically as they began collaborating on personal shoots. Photographed by Grundy and styled by Maués between 2013 and 2017, Thrift features models and friends in Berlin, London and New York, wearing a selection of one of a kind pieces of clothing found in an array of vintage shops, charity shops or loaned from archive collections.

Thrift hopes to encourage the viewer to take a more informed and considered approach to their personal consumption of fashion. There is a hope of opening a dialogue to promote an ethos of sustainability. Whilst championing vintage and thrift shopping.

Will Grundy is a photographer living and working in London. Several publications including British Vogue have published his work. Beatriz Maués is a stylist based in London. Her editorial work has been featured in titles including i-D, AnOther Magazine and Condé Nast’s next-generation community platform THEM. Thrift is her first publication.

The is a limited edition of 200 copies.
