Ag Fix Test Strips

Ag Fix Test Strips allow you to check the silver content of your fix. Alongside the silver, it will also test the pH levels. It’s a good idea to check your fix at regular intervals. This is to make sure your fixer is working at the proper strength. Your fixer capacity will decrease as the silver concentration increases or the pH value changes.

The convenient Ag-Fix test strips from Macherey-Nagel will simultaneously measure the silver concentration and the pH value in your photographic fixer.

You get 100 test strip in each pack. The strips are a useful length for safe and convenient handling.

The plug of the container has a desiccant in it which will give you a shelf life of two and a half years.

How To Use

These strips have two paper zones that are sealed onto the lower end of a plastic strip. One to indicate the silver concentration and one for pH measurement. After you dip the test strips in the test solution you compare the colours of the test zones with the colour scale on the container.
