Description
LAURA HUMPHREYS and KEVIN PERCIVAL Memory Bank
LAURA HUMPHREYS and KEVIN PERCIVAL Memory Bank. Blythe House in London, originally built in 1903 for the Post Office Savings Bank, has for over 40 years been the store for three national museums, the Science Museum, the British Museum and the V&A, holding millions of historical objects. The collections are now moving out to a purpose-built site, and Blythe House’s closure has been marked by specially commissioned images of its architecture, collections and occupants, along with oral history interviews and written testimonies. Memory Bank takes you behind the scenes to reveal one building’s hidden history and its unique place in British cultural and social life.
