THABO JAIYESIMI Unfolding #1

THABO JAIYESIMI Unfolding #1 is a self-published zine featuring images from Africa fashion week London.

Africa fashion week London showcases the latest designs influenced by the continent. It has showcased over 300 designers to almost 45,000 visitors including buyers, retailers and other industry professionals from Africa and the diaspora since 2011. An increasingly vocal school of thought suggests the biggest influencers are a new breed of tech-savvy fashion evangelists who share their knowledge of the latest trends in African-inspired clothing and accessories, strengthened by their ancient crafts, rituals and culture.

“Unfolding is a group of collaborative associates who execute their passion for photography through the discipline of photojournalism, reportage, press photography, and documentary storytelling. It is defined by our visibility to combat the world seen through the lens of a single socio-economic group. We endeavor to forge and  solidify new paths driven by equitable access.”
