Coating Rod 7.5 Inch is ideal for the application of photographic sensitizers and emulsions to flat surfaces. And it will give you a nice even coat to your paper.
This plastic coating rod is made out of 10mm borosilicate glass tube. The size of the rod is in reference to the straight line portion that you use to coat the paper. These rods are made with handles to hold while coating. The straight line portion is within exacting tolerances to ensure that the sensitizer you coat has an even application. However, it is important to lay the paper onto a piece of glass as this will ensure that the surface is absolutely smooth.
