EVA BACHMANN Halesworth, An Alternative Guide

EVA BACHMANN Halesworth, An Alternative Guide brings together photographs taken during a summer residency at The Cut, Halesworth’s cultural centre, in July 2024.

The series offers an outsider’s perspective, observing the character of the town through subtle, and at times humorous interactions between architecture and its surroundings. By focusing on overlooked details and fleeting moments, the images form a personal visual narrative that reconsiders familiar spaces from a different angle. The work was originally presented as a slideshow during the residency’s Open Day.

An A5 booklet featuring 36 photographs was later produced, accompanied by a map of Halesworth that also functions as a sleeve.
