Fotospeed FX40 Alkali Fixer is a non-hardening alkali-based fixer. Ideal for both film and paper. This is a liquid concentrate that you dilute with water for use. Making it is easy and convenient to use.

There are several benefits to using an alkali, instead of the usual acid-based fixer. They help reduce wash times. Removing the need for using Hypo Clearing Agent or Wash Aid. This means you need fewer chemicals and will reduce your water usage. Alkali fixers are also particularly good when it comes to alternative processes. They are often recommended for toning or when printing on art papers.

How To Use

To fix film, diluteFotospeed FX40 Alkali Fixer 1+7. That means one part fix to seven parts water. For paper, you need can dilute it 1+4 or 1+9. So one part fixer to four parts water, or one part fixer to nine parts water. Simply adjust fix times accordingly depending on the dilution. Make sure you mix together thoroughly before use.
