Kodak Hypo Clearing Agent 3.8L

Kodak Hypo Clearing Agent can be used to shorten wash times for films and prints. It will break down the chemicals left over from the fixer and help to drastically reduce wash times. It is suitable for use with both film and paper.

It is particularly useful for speeding up the washing of fibre based papers, which usually require much longer wash times. It is not recommended for use with resin-coated papers, as they have a short wash time already.

This pack will make 3.8 litres of Kodak Hypo Clearing Agent. Always make up the developer stock solution to the volume stated on the pack. Do not attempt to prepare smaller quantities by using fractional parts of powder.

How To Use

As it is a powder, you dilute it to make a stock solution first. To prepare Kodak Hypo Clearing Agent stock, dissolve the contents in water. Stir until the powder has dissolved. Allow this to cool to room temperature, then the developer is then ready to use. Store in a tightly capped bottle until needed for use.

To prepare your Hypo Clearing Agent working solution, dilute 1+4. That means one part stock to four parts water. The dilution is the same for both paper and film processing. Make sure you mix together thoroughly before use.

Hypo Clearing Agent reduces the wash time to 5 minutes for films, 10 minutes for single-weight papers, and 20 minutes for double-weight papers.
