AgfaPhoto Color 400 Film Review
Here is our AgfaPhoto Color 400 Film Review. We shot a roll on a Contax G2. So, have a look at our film test and see what you think.
AgfaPhoto Color 400 arrived in the shop at the end of 2024. As it was new to us, we wanted to see some results. So, for our AgfaPhoto Color 400 Film Review, we put a roll in our Contax G2 and took it out to the Barbican in the City of London.
Pleasing Colours
Luck was with us the day we took the AgfaPhoto Color 400 out. We got bright sun and crisp blue skies. The film reproduced the colours and contrast well, giving very pleasing results. We noticed a slight yellow cast and a dreamy look to the blues.
Knowing the sunshine was giving us the best conditions possible, we took it inside to see how well it did in more underlit situations. This film handled the interiors equally well. It managed to pick up details in the highlights and shadows, even with strong sunlight streaming into the dark lobby. It describes itself as versatile and we would concur!
Overall, we were impressed with the AgfaPhoto Color 400. It has a distinctive look for when you want to try something a bit different. The only downside is it’s currently only available in 24 exposures. Looking for a new film to try in 2025? Then give this one a go!
