Adox, AgfaPhoto and CineStill

Adox, AgfaPhoto and CineStill Delivery

Our first delivery of Adox, AgfaPhoto and Cinestill films has arrived.

We are pretty excited about these new arrivals. These films are some of the most popular, outside of the big three brands IlfordKodak and Fuji. Produced by smaller outfits, they offer some welcome variation on the standard films. They include low speed 20 ISO film, motion picture stock for 35mm and Super 8 cartridges.

Adox

Adox is one of the worlds oldest photography brands. Having survived the closing down of Agfa, it now manufactures films, paper and chemistry in a small factory close to Berlin, Germany.

This delivery has brought us some CMS 20 II which is a super-low ISO film which claims to be the sharpest and finest grained film in the world. Color Implosion is an experimental film designed to give you truly unpredictable analogue images. Scala 160 is a unique black and white film specially designed for reversal processing. AgfaPhoto

An offshoot of the photographic manufacturing division of the original Agfa, AgfaPhoto are still producing both photographic film and paper. Their films have a loyal following due to their low cost and reliability. APX 100 and APX 400 just arrived with us. These are both good low-cost options for those on a budget, but who still want decent, versatile film.

CineStill

CineStill is a company that has sprung up in recent years with the sole intention of providing still photographers access to the same emulsions as cinematographers. That basically means hacking motion picture cinema film stock so that you can shoot it and process it like normal 35mm C41 negative film.

We have currently got two CineStill films in stock. CineStill 50 is a daylight-balanced colour negative film made from Kodak 50D, and it’s also another film which claims the world’s finest grain. Cinestill 800 is a tungsten-balanced colour negative film, which makes it pretty unique in today’s market.
