EMMA CHEUNG Sandbags is a self-published zine.

‘Sandbags’ is a series of photographs of the sandbags that weigh down construction fences, road signs and, more recently, the fences that widen pavements for social distancing.

“Look at those temporary sculptures on the construction site and tell me that they do not look forlorn and forgotten. If there is one thing I might say to the world in this moment it is: lift your local sandbag just slightly from the ground and relieve it briefly of its perpetual labour.”
